Services for Children

Services for Children

Parents and caregivers seek psychotherapy for their children for many of the same reasons that adults do.  I offer play therapy to children from birth through 12 years of age for an array of developmental, emotional, and behavioral concerns, which may include:

•  Emotional dysregulation

•  Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

•  Emotional concerns, such as anxiety and depression

•  Separation anxiety

  Fears and phobias

  Temper tantrums; angry, defiant behavior

•  ADHD; attention and learning challenges

•  Self-esteem issues

•  A recent traumatic event or history of trauma

•  Attachment difficulties

•  Adjustment to significant life changes

One or a combination of services may be appropriate to address your child’s unique needs:

Play Therapy

Parent & Caregiver Consultation & Guidance

Family Therapy

Therapeutic Support Groups for Parents & Caregivers

School Consultations/Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Support

Referrals to community resources

Parents/caregivers are an integral part of the work I do with children.  When a child comes to see me for play therapy, each session includes time for Parent & Caregiver Consultation & Guidance.
