Sometimes families get stuck in patterns that are not helpful. We may respond to members of our family automatically, without even thinking about how or why.
I provide therapy for families to help them get “unstuck.” We work together to become aware of these patterns and the roles that different members play in keeping them alive, so that each person can change their behavior and learn new ways to respond to one another.
Families seek therapy because they are experiencing unhappiness in their relationships with one another. One of our primary goals will be to help your family to enjoy being together again. We will work to capitalize on your family’s strengths and to address your family’s unique needs and concerns.
I use an approach based on family systems theory, viewing families as one entity or unit where each member is interdependent and connected emotionally to one another.
